Rebuilding a due diligence platform in motion
A European legaltech applying AI to M&A due diligence: months of document review turned into structured analysis. The tool had to scale without interrupting live deals. Taking over a living system is open-heart surgery: every migration reversible, every domain boundary explicit, every security practice automated rather than promised.
The context
A European legaltech whose platform applies AI to due diligence on M&A transactions: where deal teams constantly trade off speed, exhaustiveness and residual risk, the tool structures thousands of documents into a reliable overview. It worked and clients were there, but the original architecture slowed every evolution, and growth could not wait for a full-stop rewrite.
The work
A rebuild in motion: full refactoring towards Domain-Driven Design, explicit domain boundaries, database migration with zero interruption to live cases. A move to API-first architecture to open the platform to integrations, security practices automated in CI, documentation generated continuously rather than promised.
What remains
A platform that evolves without fear: every migration reversible, every business rule named, every control executed by the machine. The rebuild was never a project; it became the way of working.
